About the Artist

Margaux, a Weimaraner, was orphaned just a few days after birth and was bottle-raised by her human family. Throughout her 12 years, she has enjoyed many different activities, earning titles in Flyball, Scent/Nosework, AKC Achiever Dog, and Trick Dog Excellent. Margaux is a NACSW Harry Award Winner and a two-time US K9 Biathlon finisher. She has graced the stage of the historic Alabama Theater twice, performing in the Birmingham Ballet's Muttcracker.

Margaux is a dedicated member of Sniff 4 Life's Cancer Detection Dog team, using her sense of smell to detect cancer in saliva samples. Margaux and her furry teammates' goal is to extend survival times and improve quality of life for canine cancer patients through early disease detection.

When she isn't sniffing, Margaux particularly loves to paint, a skill she learned in 2021 at age eight. She often selects her own paint colors and brushes to use in her work. Margaux has been honored to collaborate on art pieces with other artists, both human and canine, from all over the world.
