Springtime

In 2022 we were looking for someone who had a Tripawd and was willing to teach their dog to paint. We wanted an actual 3-legged artist for the annual Tripawds auction!

Rookie and his mom Dawn stepped forward and worked really hard for many weeks to learn. "He loved having a job to do and of course being rewarded for doing it!" she recalls.

Sweet Rookie had very little time to learn but he did amazing.

The painting depicted on the set of pillows is the one and only painting Rookie ever did. He passed earlier this year from degenerative spine disease.

Dawn says he was a special dog who kept her going when life got tough.

We wanted to use the image so Rookie could once again be included in our event and raise money to help amputated dogs just like him.
