Description

Q has been painting with his uncle Carmine for a few years, but now he is learning to do directed painting, meaning he is learning to paint more controlled lines and shapes with direction.

We’re at the very early stages of this, but he tries so hard to paint where I ask him to and that’s a first step! This is also Q’s very first Christmas tree decoration.

Painting Size: About 12 ” tall by 10 inches wide at the base.

Paint Colors: Teal, crimson, and gold in bold overlapping strokes.

Materials Used: This is a flat wooden balsa wood decoration in the shape of a Christmas tree. It has been primed with Gesso and painted with acrylic paint.

About the Artist

Q is a 7 year old Aussie and he is also Carmine's nephew! He started painting in 2022 and has done many painting and trick demos with Carmine.

Q has a very different painting style from Carmine. Q is much more thoughtful when he paints.

He has titles in several different sports and just earned another AKC Rally title. He is working on Carting, treibball and Rodeo Dog, and goes to the local library every month for the Paws To Read program. Q is now learning to be my assistance dog and I'm very proud of him!

And Q is also a Comedian! He has some very unique tricks and has quite the sense of humor! He recently learned to "toss his hair", like Glenda in Wicked!

But he agreed to take time out from hair tossing and Rally competitions to paint for Tripawds again this year!
