Dali’s Untitled Masterpiece

Dali has been painting since she was just 7 months old. She was an extremely curious pup, always eager to participate in everything her humans did. She would watch her dad paint and, naturally, started stealing his brushes. One day, a friend suggested, “Maybe she wants to paint. Why don’t you give her the brush?”

So we did. And what happened next became history :) Dali instinctively copied the way a human paints on a canvas, holding the brush in her mouth and making strokes across the paper.
But that was only the beginning. We slowly started training her to hold the brush without chewing it ;) and, eventually, to understand how to touch and move it across the canvas..

She doesn’t really like being told what to do, so we let her express herself freely. We simply give her the brush and let her move it across the canvas or paper however she wants. She naturally loves making large semicircular strokes, moving the brush up and down or horizontally across the surface.Most of the time, Dali paints completely by her own choice and instinct, making each painting uniquely hers. We just help her with the brush and the color choices.

She loves to participate in everything that happens around in the house. Cooking, cleaning… everything. She loves collecting sticks, loves swimming and jumping in muddy puddles, and mostly she loves the company of her brother Miro, and they play around the house all the time. Of course, must say, she is a BIG foodie. She loves to eat anything given to her (or not given). She also loves to travel by car, and is extremely extrovert and friendly with other humans and dogs.

Dali has taught us that creativity doesn’t have to be only a human expression, it doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be honest. Watching her paint without expectations or self-doubt has made us more spontaneous, patient, open-minded, and of course compassionate . She paints purely for joy, and that energy has transformed how we see creativity itself.
At this stage, we want to help stray animals in need of treatment, shelter and a second chance at life, and raise awareness for adoption, compassion more and more… and Dali has inspired us to do this.

Another fun fact: a few people from around the world still find it hard to believe that a dog can paint. Some even think our videos are AI-generated :D
Others wonder if animals who paint are put through stressful training or trauma to do it.
And that’s exactly why we’d love to see this beautiful community of painting animals come together and become myth-busters!
Because when we watch Dali paint (and a few other dog artists), one thing is impossible to miss: they genuinely enjoy it.

The excitement, curiosity, tail wags, and sheer joy Dali brings to every painting session are beautiful to watch and experience. Maybe it’s time we let these talented little artists show the world that creativity can be joyful, instinctive, and wonderfully unexpected.
